VICTORIA & ALBERT MUSEUM

let's (not) get this bread

For our treatment of the concept we created CGI interpretations of the life of bread- Create, Consume & Decay

The aesthetic is intentionally digi and surreal in consumeristic millenial pastels.

The perfect looping of the animations focuses on the monotony of bread making and mirrors the excessive, limitless supply and demand. The series makes visible a process we don't often dwell on and each loop continues, forever.

We also contibuted soundscapes that enhance the surrealism and hyperreality of the film.

V&A SCREENSHOT LET'S (NOT) GET THIS BREAD

'Let's (Not) Get This Bread' is a film made in partnership with creative lab Pitch Portal and Screen Shot magazine, premiering at the V&A Museum’s ‘Future Of Food’ event on 28 June 2019. The project is inspired by the "paradoxical ‘more meets now’ mentality  found in the melting pot of 2 popular internet phenomena: 'Hustle Culture' and 'Self Care'." -Pitch Portal

We created this piece in conjuction with Pitch's concept that sought to connect the dots between those internet phenomena while questioning if they could be encouraging the consumer food wastage epidemic in the western world.
