Quantization is the process of reducing a large set of values into a smaller, finite one. It plays a role across dimensions, from AI model optimization to the transition between classical and quantum physics.
Inspired by image dithering, where color’s position, value and intensity is randomized to create tonal depth, we set out to make a quantum graphic world.
In this experimental motion graphics video, we looked to construction motifs and shifting gradients to explore how continuous information is reduced, distorted, and repackaged. What started as a study of image processing techniques evolved into a journey of compressing a vast amount of information into a finite video.
